AAU Iowa Super Pee Wee State Championships

The AAU Iowa Super Pee Wee State Championships, hosted by the Waverly Area Wrestling Club, took place at Young Arena in Waterloo on March 8 & 9. The event featured 1,400 athletes and brought more than 5,000 total visitors to the Cedar Valley. Boys and Girls from Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades from wrestling clubs across the state of Iowa competed across 75 different grade and weight classes. The Super Pee Wee State Championship has taken place in Waterloo for more than 20 years and is the longest continuously running Pee Wee State tournament in Iowa.
