USA Wrestling returns the National High School Recruiting Showcase. This event will be held alongside the annual Boys Folkstyle Nationals Championships. The High School recruiting Showcase and Folkstyle Nationals will be held in Cedar Falls, IA on April 1st-3rd.
Folkstyle Nationals will include participants in the divisions 8U through 16U, and Juniors. The National Recruiting Showcase will be a high school division (enrolled in grades 9-12), athletes must qualify for the Recruiting Showcase. There will also a High School division (16U and Juniors) for those who did not qualify for the Recruiting Showcase. Folkstyle Nationals will also include a Masters division (Masters A through F). Folkstyle Nationals is the FIRST STAGE OF THE TRIPLE CROWN!!!
HOW DO I QUALIFY FOR THE NATIONAL RECRUITING SHOWCASE?
All High School state champions (any year), National Prep champions (any year), and Placer at NHSCA Virginia Beach High School Nationals (any year) automatically qualify for the High School National Recruiting Showcase for both boys and girls (they would not need to attend a qualifier).
High School State champions are defined as High School state association sanctioned state champions for boys in Folkstyle, and both state association sanctioned champions and recognized unofficial state champions for girls in Folkstyle.
USA Wrestling will be hosting several National Recruiting Showcase Qualifiers held in strategic locations across the nation during the 10-day period of March 4-6, 2022 & March 11-13, 2022. Each National Recruiting Showcase Qualifier is open to all high school athletes from any state, giving wrestlers an option to compete in the most convenient location. The top six place winners in each weight class in the six qualifiers will also earn a spot in the High School National Recruiting Showcase.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO WRESTLE THE SAME WEIGHT AT THE SHOWCASE THAT YOU WRESTLED AT THE QUALIFIER
The qualifier events will feature the top High School boys’ and girls’ wrestlers from around the country. For the boys (contested in Folkstyle) and girls (contested in Freestyle), the top six(6) place winners from each qualifier will qualify for the 2022 USAW High School National Recruiting Showcase, Girls High School Recruiting Showcase will take place at the US OPEN in Las Vegas, NV. April 28-29.
This event will include a 16U and Junior division if you did not qualify for the National Recruiting Showcase.
Automatic Qualifiers
- All High School State Champions (any year)
